I thought that the makeup artist had a lot of very good tips, especially about using lipliner all over the lips before lipstick to help the color to last longer. And of course the waterproof mascara.

I do however have to question a few things she recommended. First, I cannot imagine chosing makeup colors to match the floral bouquet. I always suggest using the colors that work with the bride’s skin, eye and hair coloring for the most natural look. Also, using only eyeshadow as an eyeliner, as she suggested, is not a good idea for a wedding. It will not stay on for very long. If you use a bit of eyeliner pencil first, and then the shadow, the waxiness of the pencil will give the powder eyeshadow something to stick to.

By far the most important message she gave was to practice, practice, practice. How do you think that makeup artists learn to do their magic!
